Every country has many national holidays 2012. Let us have a look at the major national holidays of Ireland. This will help you plan a better Ireland trip as well.

St. Patrick's Day, commencing on the 17th of March is Ireland's national holiday held in recognition of Ireland's Patron Saint St. Patrick. St. Patrick was the patron saint and national apostle of Ireland who is credited with bringing Christianity to Ireland. Although predominantly an Irish national holiday, St Patrick's Day is a globally recognised event celebrated across the world.

To mark the anniversary of St. Patrick, Dublin will once again play host to the St. Patrick's Day Festival which has been running annually for the past six years. The principal aim of the St. Patrick's Festival, since its induction, has been to develop a major annual international festival around the national holiday over which the 'owners' of the festival, the Irish people, would stand proud. This year Dublin City is going green for St. Patrick's Festival! To celebrate Ireland's national holiday Festival organisers have launched an initiative called 'Greening the City,' asking all businesses and venues to turn their lights green to create a city-wide illumination for the duration of the event.

At its heart, the festival sets out to reflect and demonstrate the talents and achievements of the Irish people on national as well as world stages. Furthermore, the festival acts as an exciting showcase for the manifold skills of the people of Ireland, of every age, gender and social background.

From the 17th of March to the 20th there will be a wide range of events to suit all tastes, ranging from family activities to pub activities. For the first time ever, Nobel prize winning Irish poet Seamus Heaney will be gracing the stage at Dublin Swell where he and many of Ireland's best loved names from literature, music, film and theatre will be celebrating Dublin's designation as UNESCO City of Literature.

Finally, the most eagerly awaited and arguably the highlight for many of the festival is the Parade itself which will be launched from Parnell Square, Dublin 1 at 12:00PM. If you're looking to see the Parade, why not check out hotel packages in some of the finest luxury hotels in Dublin. This is truly will be one of the largest events in Ireland this year and is not to be missed. As part of the celebrations there will be plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy and take part in with a range of activities running through out Dublin. This annual event is also globally celebrated with many tourists coming over to Ireland to take in some of the festivities and Irish culture.

national holidays 2012 are granted by each organization around the world, whether it is a government organization or a private one. People enjoy these holidays with their friends and family and want to spend most of their time with their loved ones. There are certain holidays which are most awaited by people like independence day and national festival holidays. The festival holidays are the most favorite ones because people like to celebrate them. They buy new clothes and spend money on other entertainment stuff like inviting guests over, having lunches and dinners together and children enjoying their own fun times with other children as well.

The foremost important thing about these holidays is that you have to plan first. When you know you are going to get off for national holidays then you have to pinpoint some of the major things that you need to keep in mind before leaving for a destination. First of all, you need to plan your budget. The choose the destination that you are planning to have a vacation at. Then you have to buy tickets for the most comfortable airline. Accommodation comes after that. You have to select the most suitable hotel for living as many days you want. Many other accompanying things keep on adding up into your vacation list as you keep planning further.

Another interesting thing about these holidays is that when they come along with a weekend then people get a long weekend and they sometimes plan to enjoy these holidays with their friends and family at a vacation spot. Some of the most famous vacation spots are California, Australia, Florida, Canada, France, Brazil, Dubai etc. These places are popular for some of the basic reasons like their coastal areas, beautiful sceneries, their cultures, shopping festivals, entertainment for children etc. People take advantage of all these things and enjoy to their utmost level. They do not have to be upset about the expenses and accommodation because if they belong to well off families then they definitely have planned the right place for recreation. If they work in a big and renowned organization then their vacation expenses are managed by the company itself if they are hired on a high post. If they earn a good amount of money then they need not to worry about their expenses as they would be rich enough to buy tickets of these places and enjoy fun time holiday there. They would be enjoying shopping and living in some of the best hotels. The hotels provide special accommodation and services to such valued customers. Each of these destinations have their own well known hotels which are famous for their perfect views, locations, services and hospitality. People from all around the world enjoy living in these hotels because they are known for their services.

Knowing all the national holidays 2012 is important especially if you’re a business who is constantly on the go here and there, doing business trips and transactions. Noting the holidays on your calendar early on will help you schedule your meetings, teleconferences or video call conferences ahead of time. It will also help you avoid conflicts in meetings and schedules, and thus will help you maximize both your time and effort. And if you’re just an average, ordinary citizen, knowing the holidays will help you plan your trips or vacations will your family. Or if when you it is best not to skip work for the double holiday pay.

There are 18 possible luxury holidays all in all in the US this 2012. At the start of the year, the first federal holiday is on January 16 which is a celebration of Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday. And the celebration or memorial of his birthday is a celebration of the man who sacrificed his life in the name of peace and justice.

By February 20 another great name in American History is remembered and he none other than the “Father of the United States of America”, George Washington. This day is also known as President’s Day and in honor of this day, most American companies like Ford, hold sales on this day. Of course, February also means Valentine’s, and though not declared as a federal holiday, it is also a day that most people especially lovers and couples look forward to celebrating. Some of the holidays in April are April Fool’s Day, a day where practical jokes won’t be a criminal offense. For Roman Catholics, April is also a time of meditation, contemplation and fasting during the Holy Week as a preparation for Easter. By May, the dates to remember are May 13 which is Mother’s Day, a chance to thank your mother who has sacrificed much for you; and May 28 which is Memorial Day.

And at this time all Americans are encouraged to pause and offer a moment of prayer or silence at 3:00pm to remember and honor those who have given their lives for the country. If May is a time to remember our mothers, then June 17 is a time to remember our fathers. And by July 4, the whole nation celebrates Independence Day. And this day is traditionally associated with picnics, fireworks, barbecues, carnivals, concerts and family reunions. There are usually parades in the morning, followed by carnivals, park rides and fireworks in the evening. In September 3, Labor Day, which commemorates the labor movements in the US, is celebrated. Although in the past years, Labor Day celebrations and activities which include picnics, carnivals and festivals have strayed from the original essence of why Labor Day is celebrated.

October 8, on the other hand, is Columbus Day and is celebrated as a memorial of Columbus who first discovered the Land of America. And of course there’s Halloween by the end of the month, trick or treating again for children of all ages. November on the other hand is the month for Veterans and for Thanksgiving. There are many Thanksgiving traditions in the US, and this day is a day for expressing thanks and praise for all the blessings received that year. And lastly, December is of course Christmas! It also important to take note that by March 11, 2012, the Daylight Savings Time will begin and will end by November 4, 2012.

There are so many major national holidays for 2012 in America. Well, just thinking about it brings us a smile. Christmas, probably the best holiday of the year in my opinion. Virtually every family sits around and eats and gives away presents. Everyone always seems as happy on this day as the kids are opening a gift they wanted all year, or the tech guy, like me, is opening the new favorite gadget, or, the grandmother is getting a brand new dress.

Christmas is a nationally recognized holiday each year on December 25th. While some Americans only celebrate this holiday as a time of giving, most Christian Americans will celebrate this as a time that Jesus Christ came as our savior. Another major holiday would have to be Thanksgiving. This is the day that citizens of the United States gather with their families for a time of great feasting. The traditional meal includes Turkey. With turkey you will usually find things like mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, and lots of dessert to go around afterwards! Thanksgiving is held each year on the fourth Thursday of November. This year, I will be eating plenty of Turkey on November 27th, 2008.

Independence Day is one of the favorites for the US citizen. Independence Day is a federal holiday in celebration of the United States Declaration of Independence in 1776 from Great Britain. This is probably one of the most important national holidays in existence although many people overlook it as just a time to party. Granted, partying is never a bad thing in my book. By tradition, Americans will sit outside with kids with adult supervision play with fireworks. Since this has obviously been seen as dangerous, causing injuries and lots of fires, people have decided it would be best to watch professionals do the work. The families will typically go to a local lake or college where pyrotechnic professionals put on huge displays for the public. There is nothing like watching a beautiful finally in a fireworks display.

No US citizen can forget Halloween. Although Halloween is not celebrated by every family, most Christian families simply view this is a time to eat candy. If you have not figured it out yet. Americans love to eat! Kids go to the local neighborhood where closes were close together so that we could quickly run from house to house, knock on the door. The custom is for them to give you a piece of candy to put in your bag. There are still many kids who do this. But it is unfortunate that they need to be selective on which houses and neighborhoods they need to go. As some people feel the need to do stupid things into the candy. Each year, this holiday is held on October 31st.

There are many national holidays 2012. National Independence holidays are a part of the makeup of almost every country. Some countries have more and other have fewer of these special days on their calendar, but most countries have at least one of these special holidays. Taiwanese celebrate their independence day on 10/10. July 4 is one of the highlights on the USA calendar. The Brits celebrate the Queen's birthday. In Panama the citizens of this small country are not happy with celebrating only one Independence day.

The celebration of the major national independence-day festival in Panama City in November does not occur without due preparation. At least two weeks before the actual 'Day' most public city buildings suddenly fly the national colors. Banners and rosettes in red, blue and white flutter in the breeze winking at passers-by like huge bright eyes. Storefront windows display magnificent day and evening dresses side by side in the three national colors. And, as if by prior arrangement, vehicles start sporting miniature pennants, often one on either side of the car or truck. Fast food vendors' tricycles become even more noticeable with the added blue, red and white flags brightening the big yellow plastic buckets containing their spicy rolls and pastries. This general upsurge of patriotism is not confined to public places of business and trade. Flags of varying sizes draped on balconies of apartments and other visible areas in private homes declare to the world that a loyal Panamanian family or perhaps only a single individual lives there.

On Sunday afternoon before the start of the festival week in Panama City a full dress rehearsal of parades takes place on one of the main streets of the city. Large crowds of enthusiastic spectators cheer a seemingly unending flow of bands. Some are led by drum majorettes, others, only by baton swinging band leaders marching down the street. Every band tries to outshine the rest as they march past a number of perspiring local VIPs under a red and white striped canopy. These guests of honor sit behind a table laden with shiny trophies. Their task is to judge participants on performance and dress and award prizes to the best performers afterwards.

Throughout the long merry afternoon onlookers show their support to family and friends spontaneously in many ways. Sometimes a spectator joins the band as an extra member on the edge of the road, walking in pace with them for a couple of yards. Or a member of the colorful crowd darts out on the street to offer a soda or a wet sponge to a relative marching past under the blazing sun. Or, a well wisher shouts a few words of encouragement to perspiring individuals who look drained by the heat and exertion of the long march. Sometimes someone hurriedly kicks away an empty carton or soda-can that may block the way of the marchers on the street.

It is well worth taking a look at America's national holidays 2012 dates if you are planning a holiday to the USA. It gives you a real taste of the States and experience how American's celebrate their public holidays.

Some of the more well known public holidays include Martin Luther King Day in January, which celebrates the civil rights leader who was born on 15 January 1929. This is followed by Presidents' Day in February, which was declared a federal holiday in 1879 and commemorates Washington's birthday although today many American's now think of Presidents Day as honouring all American presidents.

One American public holiday that is known worldwide is Independence Day on 4 July, celebrating the Declaration of Independence. It is a great experience wherever you are vacationing in America. However if these don't take your fancy then you have Labor Day in September, which marks the achievements of the labor movement, or you could choose Columbus Day in October, which honors Christopher Columbus who discovered the Americas. Veterans Day in November honors all veterans of the United States armed forces and is followed by Thanksgiving day, another great American tradition which celebrates the autumn harvest and includes a traditional turkey dinner.

Other holidays include Groundhog Day in February, when groundhogs emerge from their burrows and shows that spring is on its way. Earth Day and Arbor Day generally fall in April and promote environmentalism and the planting of trees. Halloween is also a big deal in America and celebrates All Hallow's Eve. Children go trick or treating to around the neighborhood and dress in costumes, collecting candy and sweets all evening. Whenever you look to book your holiday to the USA, it's a great idea to try and combine it with an American public holiday. You can get a real feel for the country and the history of the United States of America, after all there really is no other place like it on earth.

These holidays should also be noted by the business men. If you are working across different geographic boundaries, it is an important part of your planning process to ensure that you are up to speed with the different time zones on a daily basis, and on an annual basis you need to map out the different pubic holidays and changes in Daylight Savings time. This will reduce the possibility of scheduling conflicts and will help you when organising your business trips.

Good practice would be to have all your management meetings, telconference and video conference calls planned into the calendar at the beginning of the year to ensure your team and your colleagues are aware of any dates that are fixed and they need to plan around.

The national holidays are public holidays designated by the government of the respective country to honor the country itself. It is a day on which the citizens celebrate the nationhood of the country. Besides, the anniversary of a country's independence, many countries celebrate national holidays in connection with a variety of themes including signing of the constitution, a country's patron saint's day, emancipation, revolutions, or any other major event which had happened in that country.

No national holidays are celebrated in the United States. But, the United States Congress has enacted a number of federal holidays. All these federal holidays give emphasis to some particular aspects of their national heritage. Holidays declared by the federal government in the United States include New Year's Day, President's Day, Martin Luther King Jr.'s Birthday, Flag Day, Independence Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Columbus Day, and Christmas Day.

The Independence Day of the United States, now known as Fourth of July, falls on the 4th of July. Each year, this day is elaborately celebrated with sporting events, fireworks, parades, music, and more. The United States Congress proclaimed the day as a federal holiday in the year 1941.

The President's Day, once celebrated on the 22nd of February, is now observed on the third Monday in February. It was established with the passage of Public Law 90-363 in 1968. This legislation moved the legal celebration of Washington's Birthday from 22nd February to the third Monday of the same month. The Flag Day falls on the 14th of June and is celebrated to honor the country's flag. Memorial Day, sometimes called as Decoration Day. It is observed on the last Monday in May and is celebrated to commemorate people who gave their lives while serving the country during war.

Labor Day and Columbus Day are observed on the first Monday in September and the second Monday in October respectively. The United States Congress had enacted a Uniform Holidays Bill in 1968. They had passed this bill mainly for the pay and leave benefits of the federal employees working in the United States. Accordingly, holidays occurring on a Sunday is normally celebrated on the following Monday. Likewise, if the holiday is on a Saturday, it is celebrated on the preceding Friday.
